We Are Positively You

Positively You is one of the UK’s leading providers of educational workshops. We’ve been delivering transformative learning experiences for over 20 years. In that time we’ve been fortunate enough to work with over 2.5 million students all over the country.

However, when it comes to educational workshops, we know that we’re not the only game in town. With that in mind, here’s five reasons why Positively You is the best solution for your school…

Our Team

We currently have a team of nine presenters based all over England and Wales (with several more currently being trained up). They come from a wide range of backgrounds including film, television, music, corporate management and, of course, teaching. The one thing they all have in common is the belief that education plays a vital role in the lives of young people.

Our presenting team undergoes a rigorous training programme, ensuring that they are capable of delivering our interactive workshops to the very highest of standards.

Our management and admin team are based at our HQ on the Isle of Wight. A friendly and approachable bunch, they are always on hand to answer any questions you might have.

Meet the whole team.

Our Workshops

The two areas we focus on here at Positively You are Raising Attainment and Personal Development. Both of these can be broken down into individual workshops that take a deep dive into a particular topic.

Our workshops are high-energy, engaging interventions that tackle the issues of mental health, stress management and motivation, as well as introducing students to innovative learning techniques such as interleaving, dual-coding and retrieval practice.

Where applicable, our workshops strongly align to the Ofsted 3 I’s and the Gatsby Benchmarks.

Our flexibility regarding times and durations means that we can offer schools a fully bespoke day, tailored to the needs of a particular year group.

Our Resources

Rest assured, we don’t arrive at your school empty-handed!

Each student who attends one of our workshops will receive one of our specially designed ‘You Pads.’ These full-colour booklets go a long way towards making students feel much more involved in the workshop, as they are encouraged to fill it in throughout the session, during group activities and discussions.

Another thing worth noting is our partnership with BIC. One of the biggest and most recognisable brands in the world, BIC has been kind enough to provide us with all the stationery we use (and giveaway!) during our workshops – sometimes as much as £500 worth of free stationery per workshop!

Our Approach

The student workshops we deliver put us on the map, but the holistic approach we take took us to the very top.

Teacher Training is another area where our experience can really benefit the wider school environment. By introducing pedagogical skills, we believe that teachers can have an even greater impact on the lives of their students.

Our Parent Twilight sessions aim to introduce parents to the ideas and techniques we teach so that they can better support their children at home.

The Online Resources Hub allows students to login on their own time and refresh their memories with all the ideas and techniques we teach and is fantastic way to really extend the value of a Positively You workshop.

Our Feedback

Finally, and perhaps most importantly, is the feedback we receive from the schools we’ve worked with.

Every school is sent a quick and easy to complete feedback form, the results of which are closely monitored, ensuring our service is always improving.

Check out some of our recent feedback.

Our Impact Reports (which are available on request) provide you with tangible evidence that the workshops we provide really do make a difference and have a positive impact on your students.

If you would like more information about any of the workshops we provide, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
