Our resilience workshop is based on the guidelines issued by Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England. This one-day inset workshop examines:
Staff leave the workshop with a unique model and practical strategies to help build resilience throughout the school – in students and staff alike.
As with all strategies that introduce positive and lasting change, this resilience workshop starts with understanding. Staff will gain a deeper understanding of what stress illness is and how it can lead to more serious mental (and physical) health issues.
Staff will also leave with a detailed understanding of the different mental health conditions and how to spot the signs of these conditions in students. Based on the advice published by MHFA England, staff will be in a better position to support students with mental health illnesses and signpost students for further help and support.
All staff benefit on a personal and professional level from a greater understanding of mental health conditions, and how resilience can be built and nurtured in staff and students alike.
Guidelines are given on how to support students based on the advice published by MHFA England.
Staff will benefit enormously on a personal level from the resilience training and will also then be able to support students in building their own resilience.
We are living in an increasingly fast-paced, 24/7 environment where students and staff are bombarded with messages from their smartphones and where the pressure to perform is higher than ever. This workshop is set against the backdrop of this modern world.

Positively You came in to give a talk about resilience and just wanted to say how brilliant it was. It was very educational and I know a lot of people took away some good advice including myself!
A fantastic way for students to consolidate the ideas and techniques they were introduced to during a live workshop.
